Yingxian Wooden Pagoda

应县木塔
Yìngxiàn Mùtǎ

A 67-metre timber pagoda from 1056, built without nails and leaning slightly. Seventy kilometres south.

You cannot climb it any more; the ground floor and the walk around it are enough. On the way to or from the Hanging Temple by car, an hour from each.
