Shudian Street

书店街
Shūdiàn Jiē

An old lane of bookshops, brush-makers and seal carvers, in business since the Song.

Six hundred metres from the Drum Tower north. Slow, shaded, and a good place to buy paper and ink. Teaching Torah Lane, where the synagogue stood, is a short walk east.
