Beijing Road and the old centre

北京路
Běijīng Lù

The pedestrian street, with a thousand years of road surface under glass.

Busy and commercial, but the excavated Song and Ming road layers in the middle of the street are worth a look, and the streets to the west lead to the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees and the Guangxiao Temple, two of the oldest in the south.
