Walk over the 1957 bridge and take the two-yuan ferry back at dusk

The Yangtze River Bridge has a pedestrian deck the whole way across, and the walk gives you both banks, the river traffic and the Yellow Crane Tower on its hill.

Come back on the Wuhan Guandu ferry instead of the metro: it costs a couple of yuan, runs constantly between Wuchang and Hankou, and at sunset it is the best-value view in central China. Boats fill on summer evenings, so let one go and stand at the rail on the next.
