City Wall at Zhonghua Gate
The largest gate of the Ming wall, with three courtyards to trap an enemy. Walk the wall from here.
Look for the makers' stamps on the bricks, each one traceable to the kiln. The wall walk east from here towards the river is quiet; the Taicheng section by Xuanwu Lake, in the north, has the classic view over the water.
