Yingtianmen and the Sui-Tang palace site

应天门·隋唐洛阳城

Yìngtiānmén

The reconstructed gate and hall of the Tang palace, lit at night, over the excavated foundations.

The Mingtang and Tiantang halls are modern shells over the real foundations, with the archaeology visible inside. The gate's evening light show is popular with families; the site is best understood by daylight.
