Less crowded than Badaling, with a cable car up and a toboggan down.

Book tickets online; cable car and toboggan are separate.

About 90 minutes from the city by car or the tourist bus from Dongzhimen. Get there for opening and walk east towards tower 20 where the crowds thin out. Wear real shoes; the steps are uneven.
