Give the tea hills a whole morning, and walk over to Nine Creeks

Longjing village is twenty minutes from the lake by taxi or bus, and the terraces above it are open to walk. Tea houses will sell you a cup of the local green at a fair price and the farm ladies will sell you a bag at a less fair one, so buy where a price list is on the wall.

The good part is the path over the hill from the village down to the Nine Creeks valley: an easy couple of hours in shade, ending at a bus back into town.
